Privacy Policy

Named First is a Borough Web Works company based in Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through namedfirst.boroughwebworks.ca and how we handle it. We follow Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

What we collect

Audit request form: your name, business name, website, city, trade, and the email and/or phone number you give us, plus whether you opted in to marketing email.
Bookings and payments: details you give when booking a call or paying for a service, handled by our payment provider, Stripe, and our booking provider (TODO: name booking provider, or remove if none).
Work for clients: public information about your business (listings, reviews, website) that we check during an audit, and any account access you choose to give us for Fix-It Setup or Monthly Visibility.
Site usage: TODO: if Cloudflare Web Analytics is turned on, say so here. It is cookieless and does not identify you personally. We don't use advertising cookies.

How we use it

To reply to your request, run your audit and deliver the services you buy.
To send invoices and service messages about work you've asked for.
To send marketing email only if you ticked the opt-in box or otherwise gave consent. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

We don't sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

Only with service providers that help us run the business, such as our form handler (Formspree), email, booking, payment and hosting providers (Cloudflare). Some of these providers may store data outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be accessible under local law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't become work: up to TODO: e.g. 12 months. Client records: as long as needed for the work and for tax and accounting rules.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent to marketing email, at any time. Email our privacy contact at thuva@namedfirst.boroughwebworks.ca. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
